Web design
I create graphic designs and user interfaces for web site and rich internet applications. Designs that are not only great to look at but also easy to use and accessible. I do anything from very minimalistic looks to over the top edginess. It's your call.
Front-end development
Designs, by themselves, are just pixels waiting to be converted to code to be usable. I convert designs to standards compliant, squeaky clean code. I try to make sure the site looks, feels and handles the same irrespective of what platform, browser or device the user is on. I use JavaScript to unobtrusively and progressively enrich the page.
Back-end development
Static sites are a thing of the past and for good reason. You need a system to dish out dynamic data and I am your man to build that system. Depending on the nature of the project, budget and time constraints we may have to go with either raw PHP, Python or Ruby or go with a high level framework such as Cake PHP, Django, Pylons or Ruby on Rails.
CMS Integration
A lot of times building a custom implementation is not really feasible and you might want to just use a pre-packaged solution. I integrate content within a number of CMS/ forum/ blogging systems out there including WordPress, Expression Engine, Joomla, Drupal, vBulletin, phpBB and so many more.
Consulting
I can look through your web site or web applications's code base and help you optimize it, make it search engine friendly and accessible. In other words, your site will feel faster, get much more traffic and be more usable.
